Elevated 265 Hour Intensive Format Earth and Air Yoga Teacher Training Begins in February 2020

 We are excited to offer a combination of two different types of training in one. Aerial Yoga and Terrestrial Yoga can be combined or taken as standalone training’s.

Elevate Yoga Center is excited to offer an outstanding and unique Yoga Teacher Training 265 Hr. Mat and Aerial program.

Aerial Yoga

The Aerial portion of the training is intended to expand your knowledge and experience of Aerial Yoga. There are no prerequisites to attend, and all modules will be a la carte. Come to one or come to all! If you are interested in the certification portion, completion of all modules is required.


The Elevate Aerial Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive, 65-hour certification. Open to anyone, including existing yoga teachers and students who are interested in teaching Aerial Yoga or who wish to deepen their practice, without the desire to teach.


This training is split into four separate modules, which will cover:
(F) Foundations of Aerial Yoga (2 modules)
(AF) AerFit with Flips and Tricks
(AY) Aerial Yin Yoga
Upon completion of the program, you will be instilled with the knowledge and confidence to lead a safe, enjoyable and energizing class.
*If you are interested in obtaining the Aerial Teacher Certification, you must be present for all contact hours , teach one Karma class and pass the written exam.


The Aerial training will be completed in an intensive one week training:
MODULE 1 -(F) Foundations of Aerial Yoga - Safety - Rigging - Breaking down the Fundamental Poses - Building on the Fundamental Poses/Supplemental Poses.
MODULE 2 - (F) Foundations of Aerial Yoga - Classroom Management - Sequencing and Cueing - Practice Teaching.
MODULE 3 - (AF) Mindful Aerial Conditioning - AerFit Poses - AerFit Sequencing - Flips & Tricks
MODULE 4 - (AY) Aerial Yin - Aerial Yin Poses - Yin Sequencing and Teaching.

Terrestrial Curriculum:

Module 1 – Foundations of Terrestrial Yoga (4 weekends)

-          meditation and other traditional yoga techniques, asana, pranayama, kriya, chanting, mantra.
- human physical anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) also including energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.).
-          anatomy and physiology along with its application to yoga practice (benefits, contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc.). 
-          demonstration, observation, assisting and correction.
-          learn and teach one Hatha style sequence

Module 2 – Methodology of Terrestrial Yoga (2 weekends)

-          how to teach and practice the techniques, and guided practice of the techniques themselves.
-          sequencing, pace, cueing, and classroom management.
-          communication skills, time management, priorities and boundaries.  
-          professional development, the business of Yoga, including Mind Body training.
-          Understanding the value of teaching yoga as a service and being of service to others (seva).
-          learn and teach one Power Yoga Vinyasa Style sequence.

Module 3 – Yin and Restorative Terrestrial Yoga (2 weekends)

-          The study of yoga philosophies and traditional texts, such as the Yoga Sutras
-          the emphasis of teaching others is based on the safest ways to practice and teach yoga.
-          yoga humanities including history, philosophy and ethics
-          The business of yoga from a yoga studio owner and teachers perspective giving the unique perspective on the ins and outs of working in yoga.
-          Learn and teach one Yin sequence
-          learn and teach one Restorative sequence

Class Requirement
Students are required to take 16 classes throughout the duration of the program to experience different styles, levels and methodologies.

Tuition includes unlimited Earth and Air Yoga classes at Elevate Yoga for the duration of the training! Over $348 value savings.
 
Tuition must be paid in full by the promo dates to receive the discounted rate.  Payment Plans available. Payment plans do not include promo rates. Full training 6 no refundable payments of $575 Aerial Only 4 module payments of $350. Total Payments need to be completed by end of training.

Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
Every three years, Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®s) must complete 30 hours of Continuing Education training, 10 of which need to be Contact Hours in the presence of a qualified CE provider.

Students enrolled in the full 55-hour certification program will received UNLIMITED, FREE YOGA at EYC for the duration of the training! In addition, students who register and pay for the full training by Dec 31st, 2018 will receive their very own EYC Aerial Hammock for FREE! (Students attending separate training modules will receive a discount on aerial hammocks. Hammocks will be distributed after registration and payment in full during training.)
